London Street Art

When I left art college many moons ago, I completely stopped drawing and painting. Since being back at uni we have had to start drawing again. This is something I drew today, it is supposed to look like graffiti/street art that is inspired by London. For my first attempt I don't think it's too bad but I'd love to know what you think!

At uni we have started doing fashion illustrations again. Here is my attempt at copying another illustrators style.

Back at Uni

Today at uni...

Head in the clouds

I don't spend much time looking at the ground. Once in a while it is interesting to do though. There is just so much you don't see with your head in the clouds.

I love people watching. I love guessing where strangers are going, what they do for a living, who they're seeing... I think that capturing these moments on film is so interesting. Just everyday people going about their everyday lives.

This post is a little different from what I usually do. When we were in London, we were asked to take photos in Camden as part of a uni project. Here are a few of my favourites.

More London Street Style

Now that we are fully into Autumn/Winter, I thought that fashion week would have been filled with people wearing black and grey. How wrong I was, colour was everywhere. Here are a few more photos from London Fashion Week.

More photos tomorrow!

London Fashion Week Street Style

London. Fashion. Week. Street. Style. Photos.

As always when I'm in London, I took thousands of street style photos. This time around most of my photos were detail shots, lots of bags, shoes, nail art and textured fabric. They make an interesting change from my usual street style photos.

More photos tomorrow!

Sister by Sibling

I first heard about Sibling, a crazy, London based, knitwear brand a few weeks ago when reading Love magazine. These photos are from their Sister by Sibling collection which was shown today at London Fashion Week. There is something charming about the quirky, daringness of the brand. Their signature piece are the masks with pom-poms on.
I can't say that I completely understand the brand and I don't think I would wear it but I love to look at it and think that all the pieces are like a work of art.

Fydor Golan

London Fashion Week kicked of today. I think london is my favourite of the fashion weeks because it is colourful, creative and a little bit crazy. Take for example today's runway show from Fydor Golan. The brand launched in 2010 and is described as being,

“A purity of shape and form combined with integrity of texture and detail.”

The reason I have posted about this show is because it perfectly highlights the point I was making about London being a bit crazy. Look at these hats!! Once you have finished taking in the hats please note that all the models have little goatee - strange but true.

After I had taken in all this madness I came to the conclusion that this collection is beautiful. It has colour, texture, pattern and most importantly of all, the silhouettes and shapes are just stunning.
