Menswear Drawings

Something a little different today, these are the illustrations for my menswear unit at Uni. We had to design a pair of men's jeans. My final pair were a pair of cropped mini flares (based on the J Brand 'Gigi') in a beige denim, with tweed pockets and belt loops.
I wanted the jeans to be a preppy jean worn with a t-shirt, tweed jacket and loafers.
However these jeans do not look good as an illustration so I didn't include this image.

Another Creation

Well hello there, this is another of my creations inspired (read : copied) by Red Valentino
I've been meaning to do it for a while but I'm not sure how I feel about the results.
We got our pre-collection Erdem in at work today and I was uninspired by his prints which is sad because they are usually why I love Erdem.

Grandparents

I arrived back from Dublin this morning, slightly worse for wear as a week of drinking takes it's toll. However I had 5 minutes to take photos of this outfit which is for meeting my Grandparents for lunch (what a rock and roll lifestyle I lead).
It probably needs no introduction but this is my new Alexander Mcqueen scarf, I am so excited!

Hair Day

This is what happens when I am left on my own with my crimpers and all my clothes are packed in a suitcase for going to Dublin. Hair day.

Miles Kane

Last night, I went and saw Miles Kane play in the Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh. He was brilliant and very very cute. His bassist wore a suit which was amazing, it made him look very sharp in a crowed of sweaty, hyper teenagers.
So this is what I wore to the gig, nice and cassh-uuu-al. A guy kept staring at me and my friend all night, I later found out it was because the button on my shirt had popped open... It was a nice outfit all the same.
This is the blog I was talking about yesterday, Have a look.

An Outfit for Work

Today I had to pretend that I'm a grown up and go to work. To make the day more fun I wore lots of colours and polished my brogues. I also wore the J Brand lovestory- which I love.  If you are not lucky enough to have a pair of J Brands, you should get a pair because they are truly the best kind of jeans.
At work I was styling images for a white on white style blog which I will show you tomorrow.
My top is from Topshop and my brogues from Dune.

Afternoon Tea

Today I was really posh and went out for afternoon tea! We went to North Berwick, my mum, aunty, great aunty and I. It was really nice.
This is my afternoon tea outfit, it's not what I imagine the queen wears when she is sipping tea and munching on a scone, however I think it's a perfect outfit.

Bathtime Fun

This is another wee photo shoot, this time showing a t-shirt I made. It was inspired by the
Valentino Red t-shirts which I love.

I love the white surfaces of my bathroom and thought they would be perfect for complimenting the stripes.

A Trip to Tesco

I like the feeling I get when I walk down the street and I know that people are looking at me, I don't know if they are thinking, 'Omg, what the hell is that girl wearing?!' in a disaproving way or whether they are saying 'Omg, what the hell is that girl wearing?!' in an admiring way. However they are saying it, it makes me feel good, because I'm making a statement and people notice.
So this is me going to Tesco, in my banana leggings( Topshop - Not quite Prada ), which my sister wants to burn but I love, and eyeliner that even David Bowie would be jealous of. I think it's important to always make an effort with what you wear regardless of whether you are going to Tesco or the Royal Wedding.

You want me to star in it, right the theme tune, sing the theme tune..

Blogger broke and I'm not sure why but it deleted my last 2 posts. So here they are - condensed together. They are images of clothes that I have been making, a playsuit with a hood - inspired by Jessie J (hero)- which I am dying to wear out. And a pair of high waisted stripe shorts with an exposed zip down the side.
The photos aren't brilliant because I didn't have anything to put my camera on so it was just balanced on a book and so didn't focus well.

Style Diaries

I'm feeling really inspired today, the book 'Style Diaries' arrived for me in the post. For me it felt like home, it is a book about street fashion around the world, looking at different inspirational blogs. I felt like I could really relate to the people - I don't know anyone else who can't sleep if they don't know what they are going to wear the next day, however Edward Honaker in the book is the same! Also this is perhaps the best quote ever - 'One should never say 'never', but I haven't had the occasion or desire yet to wear any sort of animal print' - James Andrew (Hero).
So in light of my new inspiration I have taken some photos. This is todays outfit featuring my new shoes. I have also taken photos of my washing line because clothes are beautiful and important to me even if they are just on the washing line.
I also got a new tripod today which has made taking photos that little bit easier.
Also introducing- Hector - my dog, who is apparently not camera shy.

Straight up. Street style.

So today I finished my first year of uni! I'm changing my course for next year to Fashion communications, and because of that I'm going to show you a couple of photos I took for my street style project.
